You Ain't Seen Nothin Yet!
False
Nope. Here's what happened. BTO wasn't supposed to record "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" until the next day. It was the night before that recording and they were in the studio going over it a few more times to make sure everyone had it right the first time. They wanted a "live" take and not a series of remixes until "we all get it right."
As they were jammin' through the song a few times before the big session, someone turned on the recorder. Randy did takes of Elvis doing this song. Or the Beatles. Or Little Richard. Or Ray Charles. Or what about doing a cut for his favorite cousin who happen to have a stammer. But, rather than make it a "big deal" they kidded each other about it.
His cousin's birthday was in a week so he did a take with the stammer just for his cousin.
Not for us. This song was never intended to go any further than the cousin. Randy had to leave town before the session could take place the next day and, when notified a week or so later that the song was on the way to number one in America he insisted it be pulled. That song was personal. It was a joke.
But it was too late. The song quickly hit the top spot on the charts at number one only days later.
True or false:
John and Paul did it all without the other Beatles on "Ballad of John and Yoko."
